Calamintha nepeta ssp. nepeta'

Also known as Calamintha nepeta ssp. nepetoides. This is not a Catmint: it is a Calamint. One of our all time favorite perennials is this selection, distinctive for its deep green somewhat glossy mint scented leaves. It blooms prolifically with tiny flowers that appear white during the heat of summer but have a pale blue cast when night temps begin to be cool. Blooms begin in July and carry on through Sept. Plants are resilient. It does not matter if your summer is hot and dry or cool and wet; this little guy performs with little care of the weather's whims. Plants grow 12-15" tall and 15 x 18" wide.
