This is the straight green species of Japanese Forest Grass, which may not be flirtatiously variegated but still offers a wonderfully calming sight in the shade garden with it's arching apple green leaves and its late-season loose tassel flowers. This Hakonechloa makes a good foil for all those variegated Hosta you have been collecting.18-24" tall, with widening clumps over time.
