Description
Sycamore Leaf False Nettle is an often overlooked, but it is a quite handsome foliage plant for the partial shade garden, boasting bold sycamore (the platanifolia reference) shaped green leaves (up to 5″) covered with tiny hairs, which give the plant a soft glow. Green tassel flowers emerge from the branch tips in August and continue to droop into the fall. Boehemeria platanifolia likes a soil that is evenly moist. Established plants can grow to 5′ tall and 4′ wide.
