Sycamore Leaf False Nettle is an often overlooked but quite handsome foliage plant for the partial shade garden, boasting bold sycamore (the platanifolia reference) shaped green leaves (up to 5″) covered with tiny hairs which give the plant a soft glow. Green tassel flowers emerge from the branch tips in August and continue to droop into the fall. Boehemeria platanifolia likes a soil that is evenly moist. Established plants can grow to 5′ tall and 4′ wide.
