Description
Blue Grama Grass is a Midwest native grass forming tufts of blue green leaves 10-18″ tall, with curious “eyelash” like inflorescence on 2′ stems summer into fall. The foliage turns shades of golden brown in autumn, with tints of orange and red. This is a tough little native…it tolerates drought and poor soils, and is reported to grow well under black walnut trees. It will self sow if you allow the seed heads to develop.
