Forcing pots of bulbs for winter and early spring color is actually pretty simple. The one thing that is essential is to provide a place that stays cold (but above freezing preferred) for a period of between 8-18 weeks, depending on the bulb variety being grown.
In this workshop we will review the timetables for forcing various bulbs, discuss potting mixes, and storage options. We will then pot up 3 pots of individual bulb selections (multiple bulbs per pot) to take home. (There will be an option to do even more pots at an additional cost). Selection choices include Snowdrops, Crocus, early Narcissus, Scilla, Hyacinth and Muscari.
