Description
We’ve had a few requests for the wild species of this Midwest native, commonly called Whorled Tickseed because the seed heads resemble ticks, (duh). Masses of golden yellow 1-2″ daisies top 18-30″ stems from dense foliar clumps that tend to spread. Grows best in lean, even rocky, well drained soil. Deer tend to avoid it, but the butterflies love it.
