Description
Native to the fields of Missouri, Prairie Clover is a great candidate for the dry garden, with nitrogen-fixing properties. Very fun pinky-purple conehead flowers on 1-3′ stems bloom in summer, and plants may self sow where conditions are suitable. A favorite of bees and other pollinators! It is a bit slow to establish because it develops a deep tap root, but plants are long lived. Dalea does not want wet soil.
