Description
Wavy leaf Coneflower is a prairie native with slender reflexed pink petals surrounding prominent bronze cones. It can be mistaken for E. pallida, and differs by having yellow pollen while E. pallida has white. Plants are quite adaptable in their soil preferences although well drained soil is probably best. Plants tolerate heat and humidity well as well as dry conditions. Pollinators visit the blossoms and goldfinches love the seed heads. 2-3′ tall. Image courtesy of Jelitto Seed.
