Dainty small blossoms in shades of orange and copper on wiry 15-18″ stems in mid spring. Deer resistant and tolerant of dry shade, the foliage remains evergreen in zones 7-9. We cut back the foliage in early spring to allow the fresh flush of flowers and foliage to be unmarred. We’ve had this sturdy Ernest Pagel introduction in our shade garden for many years.
