Description
This botanical name means Big Root Geranium. Yes, it has big (thick) rhizomes that root along the soil surface as plants spread, not needing much in the way of soil depth. This fact makes Big Root Geranium indispensable as a ground cover under surface rooted trees and shrubs. Purple-pink flowers bloom away in May and June, and the citrus scented foliage turns from green to red in autumn. Grows 12-15″ tall and spreads as far as there is room. One more thng…it is deer resistant!
