Description
Do not confuse Lathyrus vernus (Vernal Bush Pea) with the fragrant annual climbers. This form has white to pale pink bicolor blossoms in late April here in MA, is a stalwart of the early spring garden. Plants form clumps 15-18″ tall and as wide (or wider) with age. Plants can take a fair amount of sunlight, but we’ve always grown ours where it gets 4-5 hours of morning sun. Slow growing at first, but very long lived.
