A valuable Scullcap as it blooms well in shade. This naturally occurring hybrid of 2 North American species of S. ovata and S.serrata was selected by Peter Heus and introduced by Plants Nouveau.  Plants grow 2-3′ tall and produce spires of lavender blue Salvia like flowers in May and June.  Popular with pollinators and Hummingbirds, it tolerates a drier soil in shade, but may need more attention to watering if given more sun.
