Description
This selection of Hens and Chicks produces a multitude of small offsets; some you might call rollers, since they hardly are attached and roll off to root when touched. ‘Marne’ typically has clean green color in summer but picks up scarlet red tones when temperatures are cool. Again, grow Sempervivum in very lean soil where there is excellent drainage, at the top of retaining walls, or in rocky crevices. Yes, you can grow them in pots outdoors year round through zone 5, again with good soil drainage.
