Description
Hens and chicks. We love the curved back leaves of this cultivar, which presents as mossy green in summer, but in winter takes on red tones. We grow our Sempervivum very lean, with little fertilizer, in a sharp draining soil mix. Some nurseries tend to over fertilize, and this not only changes the look of the plants but also promotes wimpy growth.
