Description
Elk Horn Cedar or Hiba Arborvitae. Limited supply. This beautiful conifer should be iound in more gardens. Reportedly it prefers a moist rich soil and does well in areas with high annual rainfall, yet we’ve grown it for 15+ years in southeastern MA, and it hasn’t been upset with our variable weather conditions. Lacy flat fronds of yellow green foliage with needles, with distinctive silvery undersides. It is slow growing but can become a large specimen with age, up to 20′ tall in our climate, but possibly to 30” in warmer zones. Spring shipping size 12-15″ plants.
