Hardy Shrubs

Cotinus coggygria 'Golden Spirit'

Golden Smokebush
A golden leaved form of Smokebush, recently introduced from Europe, which reaches a compact 6-8' height and has good leaf color all season, scorching only when dry conditions prevail. Foliage turns brilliant shades of coral and orange in fall. Blooms in early summer. The hazy tawny pink flowers form on last years' branches, so if you stool plants or have winter die back you may not get to see them.
