Tsuga canadensis 'Cole's Prostrate'

Prostrate Weeping Hemlock
We have been impressed with how well our Cole's Prostrate hemlock for 20 years now, and in all that time, not once have we found the pesky wooly adelgid on our specimen although nearby taller forms of Canadian hemlock were afflicted. is it good luck, or does its low stature makes it easy for beneficial predators to keep them at bay? in any case, we think that Cole's Prostrate is a fine ground covering evergreen that makes a statement spilling over a retaining wall or rockery in cold winter climates. 12' tall, and spreads many feet with age.
